Preview of future goodness
Posted by Phil under updates
I’ve been so busy in the last few weeks doing fun food and drink things, that I haven’t had the time to write about them. So, here’s a preview of some things that are in the queue:
- The best thing I’ve drank ever: 8 year old single malt Oregon whiskey
- Tarragon infused vodka
- Homemade sausage
- A whole Albacore tuna
- The Wedge, the Portland Farmer’s Market cheese festival
- More apples than are prudent to consume
I am more excited about food than I have ever been.

Would that be McCarthy’s whisky? That is some good, good stuff! Clear Creek Distillery makes some good product.

Actually not McCarthy’s– this one isn’t available for sale yet…
But I do love Clear Creek’s stuff.

You’re just teasing us! I’m looking forward to hearing more about this new whisky!

‘Ever?’
I suppose the best thing I ever drank was probably a whisky (19yo Ardbeg, from Cadehead’s). Though the 1995 Salon came close. If only I could afford the 1996.
Then again.. this reminds me of a friend of mine, whose dowager aunt unpacked her wine cellar when he was in his late teens (late ’80s for us both). So he went to Kermit Lynch looking for another bottle of that ‘61 Latour.
Which is to say, let’s hear about that whisky.
